Beading For Young Designers
August 5 - August 6
Safety First. Artisan Village instructors will maintain masks for all participants as well as social distancing guidelines as possible in each of our kid’s classes. The instructor will wear a face shield or a mask at all times. We value our registrant’s and our instructor’s health and will sanitize before and after all events.
Wednesday, August 5 and Thursday, August 6. Each day is a 2 hour class (12:30-2:30pm)
Day 1: Create handmade beads from various materials.
Day 2: Create one or more beading projects using your handmade beads including bookbag charms, key chains and bracelets. Beads and other materials for boys and girls will be available.
Linda Kane, an Artisan Village jewelry artist, will review simple beading skills to create fun gifts. Students will be encouraged to develop individual designs – incorporating color, texture, and style. See your ideas come together to create unique and colorful beaded jewelry and other items, such as key chain/zipper pulls. Beads and other supplies will be available for use, but students can bring charms, beads, or trinkets they would like to use to personalize their projects. Students will “make and take” a special gift, including gift wrapping paper craft.
Open to all ages 3rd grade+, all skill levels.
Creativity Center is handicap accessible.
