Downtown Grayling will be pumping up the holiday spirit with community events, parade, and shopping!
Throughout the entire day, various downtown merchants and retailers will be participating in a collective “Spend $10, win big!” raffle. For every $10 spent inside participating retailers, customers will receive a ticket for entry into a raffle for a giant basket of goodies from all over Grayling, including gift cards, swag, and merchandise.
Santa will be visiting AuSable Artisan Village from 1-4 pm for pictures with the little ones. Bring your cameras and letters for Santa! At 5 pm, Santa will be riding in the Christmas Walk Light Parade, heading down Michigan Avenue to light the community Christmas Tree in front of the county courthouse.
A Christmas Village, complete with individual vendors, fundraisers, and activities for children will be taking place around the Historical Museum downtown at the corner of Norway and Michigan Avenue. The National Guard will be making an appearance as well, hopefully bringing a bounce house and rigs for check out. If you would like to host a table or activity at the Christmas Village, please fill out the form at the link here: https://4eyes.io/s/3kdOp/m or on the Facebook event page. You can also email firstname.lastname@example.org for a link or form to be sent to you.
The National Guard will be collecting toys for Toys for Tots down near the Christmas Village. The toys will be donated to the Santa Train event hosted by the Crawford County Historical Society, taking place on December 12 at the Museum.
Reindeer and pony rides will be available at Huntington Bank.
A light parade will take place at 5 pm, heading down Michigan Avenue to finish in front of the county courthouse, where Santa will light the Christmas Tree. Parties interested in participating can sign up online at https://4eyes.io/s/ckeLd/. The form is also available on Grayling Main Street’s web page at www.downtowngrayling.com or on the Facebook event page. You can also email email@example.com for a link or form to be sent to you.
Dial-A-Ride will be shuttling party goers along multiple stops throughout downtown and over to Grayling Promotional Association’s Festival of Trees taking place at the Grayling Mini-Mall between 12-7.
Miss Amanda’s School of Dance will be hosting a Kid’s Night Out in the evening, perfectly in time to drop the little ones off and come back downtown to participate in Brew Avenue and adult-focused events, like the Chair Raffle and Concert taking place at the AuSable Artisan Village, or the bonfires hosted by Grayling’s Fire Department on Norway.
Maps and brochures of events can be picked up at downtown retailers. Assistance or questions about the event can be directed Grayling Main Street’s Interim Director, Jillian Tremonti, to firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 989-390-7689.
