Guided Snowshoe Hikes Hartwick Pines State Park

Enjoy a guided snowshoe hike through the Old Growth Forest with the Park Interpreter and Historian. This hike goes off-trail into the midst of some of Michigan’s oldest and largest pine trees. It is approximately one mile in length over varying terrain. The hike is suitable for all skill levels including beginners. Participants can borrow snowshoes from the Visitor Center free of charge. We are now utilizing a DNR registration system. To register for this free program you will be asked to create an account. But, then in the future you will be able to register for all the great programs at any of our DNR Visitor Centers with just a couple clicks!
This program may be canceled due to inclement weather but will take place in boots if there isn’t enough snow for snowshoeing.
A recreation passport is required for park entry and can be purchased at the Visitor Center prior to the hike.
