National Drug Take Back Day
National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, April 24th, 2021. This is a great time to dispose of prescription medications cluttering your cabinets. Medicines no longer being used may pose grave and unnecessary dangers to families and the people visiting their homes. Drugs flushed down toilets also pose an environmental risk as they may eventually find their way into ground water, contaminating it.
Expired or unused medications can be taken to one of 4 disposal sites in Grayling:
– City Hall located at 1020 City Blvd (Available 24-hours)
– Crawford County Sheriff’s Department located at 200 W. Michigan Ave. (Available 24-hours)
– The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy at 500 James Street in Grayling during business hours
– The Medsafe bin in the Munson Healthcare Grayling Hospital lobby
Call the Crawford County Commission on Aging & Senior Center at 989-348-7123 if you have any questions.
