Wellington Farm Quilt Show
July 16 - July 18
On the weekend of July 16, 17 and 18, Wellington Farm USA near Grayling will present its Annual Quilt Show. The Quilt Show, which is presented each year in mid July, continues to grow in popularity as more people come forth to display quilts, and even more people come each year to look at them. This year, quilts will be displayed in at least two of the parks historic buildings and even more if needed. There is no additional charge to enter the Quilt Show, just the normal park admission of $10.00 for adults, $7.50 for seniors and $6 for students. Pre schoolers are free. In addition to the Quilt Show, the entire 60 acre living history complex will be open and available for viewing.
Needless to say, the results of the Corona Virus have caused many changes to be made at the living history farm. Wellington Farm USA apologizes for any inconvenience the changes in programming has caused. As of yet, Wellington Farm USA has not been able to hire enough help or enlist enough volunteers to man all of the more than a dozen primary buildings. The buildings are open and as much as possible, historical information is provided in written form. However, it is not be the same as hearing it from a costumed interpreter which is the desire of the historic park. As soon as help can be acquired, the buildings will be fully staffed. This is an excellent opportunity for senior citizens and retirees. Spend a few hours at the farm, just sitting and talking about the “good ole’ days.” If you would like to give it a try, please stop by and talk with the staff.
