North America’s Toughest, Richest Canoe Race and the World’s Toughest Spectator Race!
Since 1947
One of The Greatest Canoe Races on Earth!
The mission of the non-profit, volunteer organizing committee – AuSable River International Canoe Marathon, Inc. (ARICM) – is to organize and promote the annual AuSable River Canoe Marathon, generate public exposure of the communities in the AuSable River Valley and increase awareness of our unique natural resource: The AuSable River
Our volunteer base consists of 100’s of volunteers that mostly live along the AuSable River Valley, and fans of the race. The ARICM has meetings all year round. We meet once a month locally, and once a month combined. The meetings in Grayling are the first Thursday of the month. Meetings in Oscoda are held the second Thursday of the month. The combined meeting is the third Wednesday of the month, and is alternated between Oscoda and Grayling.
