River House, Inc. is a nonprofit agency that serves victims and survivors of domestic and sexual abuse in four northern Michigan counties: Crawford, Ogemaw, Oscoda, and Roscommon counties. The main facility is located in Grayling, Michigan. Advocates travel to locations throughout the four counties to meet with survivors.
The mission of River House, Inc. is to provide safety and services to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse while promoting empowerment through education and advocacy. River House, Inc. has been serving local communities since 1986, by providing crisis counseling, emergency shelter, group counseling and support, as well as legal advocacy and community education.
Our website is designed to serve victims and survivors, volunteers willing to help victims and those looking for information about domestic and sexual abuse services in the region served.
RIVER HOUSE RESALE SHOP DONATION PROCESS
We will be able to accept donations on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturdays 10 am to 4 pm. Appointments are necessary and can be made in person or by calling the store at 989-745-6677. If there is big furniture to be donated we are booking those on Wednesday unless you can bring your own man power. We can not accept Mattresses, Box Springs, Car Seats or Cribs for safety reasons and we are unable to accept older style TV’s. We encourage booking in advance as the time slots fill quickly.
SEEKING RESALE SHOP VOLUNTEERS
